Andrew is leading the charge to dismantle outdated health insurance approaches and challenging organizations to build new ways to bring affordable healthcare to their employees.

Andrew didn’t invent benefit captives, but he and Andrew Clayton were among the first to understand the incredible potential of self-insurance and captives to transform the employee benefits market. Prior to forming ParetoHealth, Andrew helped found Garnet Captive Services, LLC and Elevate Insurance Services, LLC. He retains a seat on the boards of both companies.

Andrew started his career in commercial banking and worked at several publicly traded insurance companies. He has served on committees and boards of industry groups such as the Self-Insurance Institute of America (SIIA).

Andrew is a graduate of Swarthmore College.

Andrew Clayton has nearly 25 years of experience creating captives and employer-centric risk financing programs. 

Andrew’s areas of expertise include healthcare finance, risk management, and cost containment. He has structured property and casualty captives for Fortune 500 companies but is best known as an industry leader in the employee benefit group captive space, as he has helped ParetoHealth to pioneer new ways to deliver affordable, scalable healthcare benefits. 

Prior to ParetoHealth, Andrew spent five years as Vice President of the Group Captive Division at Berkley Accident & Health, LLC. He has also served as Vice President at J.B. Collins and Associates and Vice President at Commonwealth Risk Services.

Andrew is a graduate of Swarthmore College.

Rich brings 20+ years of experiencing providing financial steering to executive teams to drive growth and maximize profitability. His deep background in financial planning and analysis and strategic planning creates a financial environment that drives business partnership and puts analytics and KPIs at the forefront, enabling executives to make quick and informed business decisions that accelerate growth while maximizing the bottom line.

As Chief Financial Officer of ParetoHealth, Rich is responsible for supporting the firm’s growth by implementing strategic initiatives across his areas of responsibility: Finance, People, and IT. 

Prior to joining ParetoHealth, Rich spent four years as CFO of WGroup, a high-growth IT consulting firm, where he was a key member of the executive team, responsible for growing the firm while balancing profitability. His deep financial expertise was developed during his tenure at Quintiq, a global software company, and Ricoh, a global IT company.

Rich is a graduate of Elon University and earned his MBA from Saint Joseph’s University, with post-graduate work at Villanova University.

Ashley has more than a decade of experience in developing strategic benefit plans, claims analysis, financial performance analysis, regulatory compliance adherence and support, and coordination of ongoing client services.

Ashley is responsible for the development, execution, and oversight of our medical and pharmacy cost control strategy. Her team creates turnkey health solution platforms to simplify and streamline the adoption of our strategy—and to maximize the value of our strategic partnerships: with TPAs, PBMs, and cost containment vendors. 

Ashley also oversees the use of clinical data analytics to identify care intervention and claim reduction opportunities, and the identification and evaluation of the latest in care innovation and population health.

Before joining ParetoHealth in 2020, Ashley spent eleven years as Senior Consultant and then Senior Vice President at AIA, Alera Group, where she was responsible for the operating unit oversight and ongoing development of AIA’s advanced health management and clinical intervention portfolio. 

Ashley is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

Kristen brings over ten years of experience managing internal operations and developing growth strategies that benefit employers, consultants, and insurance carrier partners. 

Kristen is responsible for balancing the growth and profitability of all captive programs. She oversees all underwriting operations including stop-loss marketing, renewal negotiations, and new client implementations.

Prior to ParetoHealth, Kristen worked for The Savitz Organization, where she was part of a team that handled the pension administration for a multitude of clients, including international pharmaceutical companies. 

Kristen is a graduate of Swarthmore College.

Kate is focused on corporate and legal matters, including captive governance, regulatory compliance, and the company’s mergers and acquisitions.

She has been integral in constructing the foundational framework of many of ParetoHealth’s seminal programs and initiatives, including the company’s Rx strategy, cost-containment integration, data analytics, and care coordination.

Prior to joining ParetoHealth, Kate served as Deputy General Counsel in the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office. Before that, she was an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office for over a decade. She prosecuted thousands of cases, specializing in the prosecution of child abuse and sex crimes. Kate was also legislative liaison to the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association and was appointed to Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Elder Law Task Force.

Kate earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her Juris Doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law.

Gary is a technology visionary with more than 17 years of experience in leading and building IT teams to deliver B2B and B2C products in healthcare, clean technology, online & retail CPG, distribution, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and staffing. 

As CTO at ParetoHealth, Gary’s focus is on the planning, development, and implementation of innovative technology solutions to address our wealth of emerging business opportunities.  

Prior to joining ParetoHealth, Gary worked on digital transformations in start-up and corporate environments— helping them deliver fast, scalable, and rapid product-to-market growth. His clients included Timelife, AllStar Marketing, Irwin Naturals, American Historic Society, Kaiser Permanente, Dyson, Target, HomeDepot, Walmart, Globalcare Analytics, and more.

Gary is a graduate of California State University and authored a patent for a transaction analysis and asset recovery system during his work in healthcare arena.

Maureen is a Human Resources veteran with nearly 20 years of experience in executing people strategy — and deep reservoirs of knowledge in the Healthcare technology sector.  

As the Chief People Officer at ParetoHealth, Maureen is responsible for designing and executing forward-looking programs focused on attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining top talent to enable the company’s growth strategy. 

Maureen comes to ParetoHealth after more than a decade with NantHealth Inc., where she held various roles with increasing levels of responsibility. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President, where she led the Human Resources function — developing and executing their talent strategy. Before that, she spent seven years in human resources and talent acquisition.

Maureen is a graduate of The Catholic University of America where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and earned her MS in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University.

Rafael is a Partner at Great Hill Partners and is responsible for originating and evaluating investment opportunities in the software, healthcare, and business services sectors. He is currently a Director of ParetoHealth, PartsSource, Quantum Health, RxBenefits and Vatica Health. He is a former member of the Boards of Qualifacts and DealerRater and was also involved in the investments of Passport Health Communications and Wayfair. Prior to joining Great Hill, Rafael held positions at Battery Ventures, Technology Crossover Ventures, Goldman Sachs and RBC Capital Markets.

Rafael earned a degree in finance from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mark is responsible for transaction origination, investment policy, fundraising, investor relations and the general management of Great Hill Partners. Mark’s investment focus is in the healthcare sector. He is currently a Director of ParetoHealth, PartsSource, Quantum Health, RxBenefits and Vatica Health. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Boston Medical Center’s Healthnet/Well Sense Health Plan and a member of the Finance Committee at BMC. He is a former member of the Boards of several healthcare companies including FirstCall HealthCare, Passport Health Communications, Qualifacts and SterilMed. 

Mark graduated from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management where he was an F.C. Austin Scholar and the Jim Packard Memorial Scholar. He also holds a BA in public policy studies from Duke University.

Scott is CEO of RevSpring, Inc, focused on patient and consumer engagement and payments.  Prior to RevSpring he was CEO of M*Modal, now part of 3M Healthcare and CEO of Passport Health now part of Experian Health.  He is currently a Director of ParetoHealth, Argos Health/Enablecomp and MedHost.  He is a former member of the Boards of Magellan Health, InvisionHeart, and the Nashville Healthcare Council.  He has also served in executive roles with Experian, McKesson and Cerner.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Utah State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Mary Catherine Person is an innovative entrepreneur with deep knowledge of the healthcare payer and self-funded employer from 30 years in the business. She is President of Blue General Partners, a healthcare consultancy. She is currently a Director of ParetoHealth and VIVIO Health. Previously, she served as President of HealthSCOPE Benefits where she led the development of Total Health Management at HealthSCOPE Benefits and the growth of the company including all aspects of client service. Her leadership included network development, medical management, operations, account management, and sales.

Mary Catherine received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey.
